Powertrain Control Module (PCM): Installation

1.

Install the PCM and connect the PCM electrical connectors.

Position the PCM and attach the wiring retainer, install the retainers.

Install the retainers and the PCM cover.
Torque: 27 lb.in (3 Nm)

Install the LHF fender splash shield. Refer to: Fender Splash Shield .

NOTE: This step is only necessary when installing a new component.

Upload the module information from the diagnostic tool using the Programmable Modules Installation routine. Refer to: Module Configuration - System Operation and Component Description .

- Reprogram the PATS. Carry out the Parameter Reset procedure. For vehicles without Intelligent Access (IA). Refer to: Passive Anti-Theft System (PATS) Parameter Reset - Vehicles Without: Keyless Entry and Push Button Start .
- Reprogram the PATS. Carry out the Parameter Reset procedure. For vehicles with Intelligent Access (IA). Refer to: Passive Anti-Theft System (PATS) Parameter Reset - Vehicles With: Keyless Entry and Push Button Start .

7.

After completing the repairs, perform the Misfire Monitor Neutral Profile Correction procedure.
