Normal Operation and Fault Conditions
The BCM sends messages to the ABS module over the CAN. If the ABS module does not receive these messages within the specified time frame, the module sets a DTC. This can be due to a BCM failure, a circuit failure on the CAN or an excessive load on the network.

| U0140:87 | Lost Communication With Body Control Module: Missing Message | Sets when the ABS module is missing any of the following BCM messages: car mode, traction control status, engine off, hill launch assist status, parking brake status, trailer lamp connection status, ignition status or driver door status. |
| U0422:68 | Invalid Data Received From Body Control Module: Event Information | Sets when the ABS module receives any of the following BCM messages as "invalid" instead of the actual information: central car configuration engine type, central car configuration body style, central car configuration wheel base, ignition status or door ajar status. |
