Make sure to test the operation of the glow plug indicator when the engine is cold to ensure the engine isn't too warm to operate the glow plug system and command the glow plug indicator on. CLEAR the DTC. RETRIEVE the IPC Continuous Module Diagnostic Trouble Codes (CMDTCs) while operating the glow plug system at initial key on. If DTC P0381:01 returns, Refer to IPC Hardware Testing
