Steering Gear Boot: Installation

To install, reverse the removal procedure.

  Place a bead of Silicone Brake Caliper Grease at location shown completely around the inside of the steering gear boot.
  Material: Silicone Brake Caliper Grease and Dielectric Compound / XG-3-A (ESE-M1C171-A)
- 2.
  
  Place a bead of Silicone Brake Caliper Grease at location shown completely around the tie rod at the steering gear boot outer clamp location.
  Material: Silicone Brake Caliper Grease and Dielectric Compound / XG-3-A (ESE-M1C171-A)

Install a new steering gear boot inner clamp. Use the General Equipment: Boot Clamp Pliers

Check and if necessary, adjust front toe. Refer to: Front Toe Adjustment .
