Side Obstacle Detection Control Module: Removal

NOTE: Removal steps in this procedure may contain installation details.

NOTE: SODL shown, SODR similar.

1.

With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. REFER to: Jacking and Lifting - Overview

2.

Remove the rear lamp assembly. REFER to: Rear Lamp Assembly

3.

Remove the rear quarter panel moulding. REFER to: Rear Quarter Panel Moulding

4.

Remove the screws.
Torque:

13 lb.in (1.5 Nm)

5.

Disconnect the electrical connectors and position aside wiring harness.

6.

Remove the push pins.

7.

Remove the bolts.
Torque:

28 lb.in (3.2 Nm)

8.

Gently flex the rear bumper cover to access the SODL or the SODR.

9.

Disconnect the electrical connector.

10.

Remove the SODL.
- 1.
  
  Remove the retainer.
- 2.
  
  Remove the SODL.

11.

If required.Remove the retainer and the SODL bracket.
Torque:

93 lb.in (10.5 Nm)
