Main Control Valve Body: Installation
- 2.NOTE: Make sure that a new component is installed.
Install the solenoid body-to-valve body separator plate.
Torque: 89 lb.in (10 Nm)

- Install the main control valve body. And install the solenoid body and transmission internal wiring harness frame assembly.
- Install the solenoid body-to-valve body bolt.
Torque: 89 lb.in (10 Nm)
- 4.NOTE: Make sure that the component is correctly located on the locating dowels.NOTE: Make sure that a new component is installed.NOTE: Position the OSS and TR sensor wiring harnesses aside. On the alignment pins.
Install and inspect the main control-to-transmission case separator plate to make sure it is positioned correctly.
- 5.NOTE: Extreme cleanliness must be exercised when handling the component.NOTE: Take extra care when handling the components.
- Install the transmission internal wiring harness frame, main control valve body and the solenoid body as an assembly.
- Align the manual valve with the manual valve pin.
- 9.
Tighten the main control-to-transmission case bolts and nut in a crisscross pattern.Torque: 89 lb.in (10 Nm)

Install the main control cover. Refer to: Main Control Cover - 1.6L EcoBoost (110kW/150PS) - Sigma/1.6L EcoBoost (132kW/180PS) - Sigma . Refer to: Main Control Cover - 2.5L Duratec (125kW/170PS) .
- 14.NOTE: The solenoid body strategy data file and solenoid body identification must be updated anytime a new solenoid body is installed. A new solenoid body service tag must be installed over the current solenoid body service tag on top of the transmission case.
If a new solenoid body is installed, update the solenoid body strategy. Refer to: Transmission Strategy Download .
