Selector Lever Assembly: Removal

NOTE: Removal steps in this procedure may contain installation details.
  1. Open the floor console stowage bin lid.

  2. Release the clips, disconnect the Start/Stop switch electrical connector and remove the LH instrument panel lower finish panel.

  3. Release the clips and remove the RH instrument panel lower finish panel.

  4. Release the retainers and remove the floor console upper trim panel.

  5. Remove the RH console finish panel retainer cover.

  6. Remove the pushpin, the bolt and the RH console finish panel.

  7. Remove the LH console finish panel retainer cover.

  8. Remove the screws and the LH console finish panel.

  9. Position the selector lever in S.

  10. Using a small screwdriver, pry the selector lever boot clips away from the selector lever bezel and position the boot aside.

  11. Detach the selector lever bezel, raise the bezel, detach and disconnect the selector lever light bar electrical connector, disconnect the parking brake switch and remove the bezel.

  12. Remove the screws and position the HVAC control panel aside.

  13. Remove the bolts, detach the clips and reposition the lower console finish panel, disconnect the power point and USB electrical connectors and remove the lower console finish panel.

  14. Remove the selector lever cable retaining clip bolt.

  15. NOTE: Do not pull or pry on the selector lever cable or the selector lever cable end may be damaged. Use a screwdriver and turn the screwdriver as shown to pry the cable end off the post as close to the post as possible.

    Using a screwdriver, pry the selector lever cable end from the selector lever and disconnect the selector lever cable clip from the selector lever assembly.

  16. Disconnect the selector lever electrical connector.

  17. Remove the bolts and the selector lever.

    Torque: 71 lb.in (8 Nm)
