Selector Lever Cable: Installation

Position the selector lever cable to the engine compartment through the floor and install the selector lever cable to the passenger compartment. Install the nuts.
Torque: 80 lb.in (9 Nm)

Install the LH side console housing support bracket.
Torque: 18 lb.ft (25 Nm)

Install the floor console. Refer to: Floor Console .
Connect the selector lever cable retainer.

Position the front floor exhaust system heat shield and install the nuts.

Position the exhaust pipe mounting bracket and install the bolts.
Torque: 18 lb.ft (25 Nm)

Install the engine undershield and the retainers.

Position the selector lever in D.

Install the selector lever cable bracket bolt.
Torque: 62 lb.in (7 Nm)

Rotate the manual lever clockwise until it stops.

Rotate the manual control lever counterclockwise 1 detent into D.

Unlock the adjuster.
1. Slide the spring-loaded tab forward.
2. Lift up the adjuster lock.

Verify that the engine starts in P and N only and that the reverse lamps illuminate in R.
