Transfer Case Shift Motor: Removal

1.

With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. For additional information, refer to Jacking and Lifting .

2.

Disconnect the harness connector.

3.

Remove the coil wire pin from the electrical connector.

  Remove the inner retainer from the wire connector.

  Press the release tab and remove the coil wire pin.

4.

Remove the transfer case shift motor bracket bolt and the 3 mounting bolts, then remove the transfer case shift motor.
