Mode Select Switch (MSS): Removal

All vehicles 

1. Remove the HVAC control module. Refer to: Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC) Control Module .

   Vehicles equipped with floor console 

2. Remove the screws and the center instrument panel lower finish panel.

   Vehicles without floor Console 

3. Remove the screw, detach the clips and remove the center instrument panel lower finish panel.

   Vehicles equipped with floor console 

4. Place the transmission selector lever in the NEUTRAL position.

5. Detach the clips and remove the floor console upper finish panel.

6. NOTE: Vehicle with floor console shown, without floor console similar.

   Release the clips, remove the instrument panel center finish panels and disconnect the electrical connectors. Use the General Equipment: Interior Trim Remover

   • 1) Carefully pry the MSS (mode select switch) from the Center Register
   • 2) Remove the MSS (mode select switch) from Center Register.
