REFER to Owner's Literature, Handles, Locks, Latches and Entry Systems - Without Intelligent Access (IA) or Handles, Locks, Latches and Entry Systems - With Intelligent Access (IA) or for information on associating a RKE transmitter. RUN the DSM self-test. REFER to the Driver Seat Module (DSM) DTC Chart  to diagnose any DTCs retrieved.

VERIFY BJB fuse 28 (30A) is OK. If OK, CARRY OUT the network test using a scan tool and VERIFY network communication of the FCIM and Dual Climate Controlled Seat Module (DCSM). REFER to Module Communications Network to diagnose a module communication or network concern. If OK, CARRY OUT the Dual Climate Controlled Seat Module (DCSM) self-test and RETRIEVE any DTCs. If any DTC is present, REFER to the Dual Climate Controlled Seat Module (DCSM) DTC Chart . VERIFY the touchscreen operation. If the touchscreen does not operate correctly, REFER to Information and Entertainment Systems - 8-Inch (203 mm) Touchscreen, 7 Speakers or Information and Entertainment Systems - Sony Sound 8-Inch (203 mm) Touchscreen, 12 Speakers to diagnose the touchscreen. If OK, INSTALL a new Dual Climate Controlled Seat Module (DCSM). REFER to Dual Climate Controlled Seat Module (DCSM) .

NOTE: If a fault occurs setting a DTC specific to only one climate controlled seat, the DCSM will disable only the affected seat outputs and allow the other seat to remain operational. CHECK for DTCs specific to the affected climate controlled seat and, if a DTC is present, REFER to the Dual Climate Controlled Seat Module (DCSM) DTC Chart .
GO to Pinpoint Test BN .
A single climate controlled seat does not operate correctly - exhibits poor airflow or performance Excessive sunload or extreme cabin temperatures

CARRY OUT the DCSM self-test and retrieve any DTCs. If any DTC is present, REFER to the Dual Climate Controlled Seat Module (DCSM) DTC Chart . If no DTC is present, CHECK the affected seat cushion or backrest for correct installation of the climate controlled seat components (TED, manifold air duct and foam pad) and REPAIR as needed. If OK, CHECK for air flow restrictions (TED inlets and outlets, TED -to-manifold connections, filters and ducts) and REPAIR as needed. RETEST the system for normal operation.

If binding is not present, INSTALL a new head restraint assembly. REFER to Seat Backrest - Third Row, Power . TEST the system for normal operation.
