Selector Lever Cable: Removal

Prior to replacing the selector lever cable for a no start or high shift effort concern, verify the selector lever cable to bracket clip is fully seated at the transmission and selector lever assembly. Unseated cables can cause selector lever cable binding and prevent the manual shaft from completely returning to the P (Park) position.

With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. Refer to Jacking and Lifting .
- 5.NOTE: Failure to use a piece of cardboard between the LH center console lower trim panel and the center console can result in damage to the side of the center console.
- 10.
Remove the ACL and outlet pipe. Refer to Intake Air Distribution and Filtering .
