Normal Operation and Fault Conditions

When the ignition is in RUN, the ABS module and the PCM share VIN information through the GWM over the HS-CAN 1 and HS-CAN 2. 

PPT AF ABS MODULE DTC FAULT TRIGGER CONDITIONS

DTC Description Fautl Trigger Conditions
U3002:62 Vehicle Identification Number: Signal Compare Failure Sets when the VIN message sent by the PCM over the HSCAN does not match the VIN stored in the ABS module.
