Transfer Case Shift Motor: Removal

1. With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. Refer to: Jacking and Lifting .
2. 1. Disconnect the wiring harness connector.
   2. Detach wiring harness retainers.

3. Remove the coil wire pin from the electrical connector.
   1. Remove the inner retainer from the wire connector.
   2. Press the release tab and remove the coil wire pin.

4. Remove the transfer case shift motor bracket bolt.

5. Remove the mounting bolts and the transfer case shift motor.

6. Clean the transfer case shift motor mating surface. Refer to: RTV Sealing Surface Cleaning and Preparation .
