CHECK the vehicle service history for recent service actions related to the steering column and clockspring. If there have been service actions with the steering column or clockspring, VERIFY the service actions were done correctly and any components were installed correctly. REFER to Steering Column . REFER to Clockspring . If there have been no service actions, position the front wheels in the "straight-ahead" position. Then, using a diagnostic scan tool, carry out the ABS steering angle sensor calibration routine. |
