Pinpoint Test Purpose

To verify PSCM DTC U2017 is present and provide diagnostics if DTC U2017 is currently active in

the PSCM.

1. BT1: VERIFY THE PSCM DTC 
   • Ignition ON, engine OFF.
   • Clear the PSCM DTCs.
   • Ignition OFF.
   • Wait at least 90 seconds for the modules to completely shut off.
   • Ignition ON, engine running.

   Carry out the PSCM self-test.

   • Is DTC U2017 present and active in the PSCM? 

   Yes	No
   INSTALL a new EPAS gear. REFER to Power Steering article . ORDER a replacement EPAS gear and INCLUDE the RVC on the form. INCLUDE the RVC on the warranty claim form.	If the PSCM does not list DTC U2017, DISCONTINUE this test and REFER to the DTC Chart for direction.
