Steering Column: Installation

  1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
  2. NOTE: This step is only necessary when installing a new component.

    Using a diagnostic scan tool, complete the PMI process for the BCM following the on-screen instructions.

  3. NOTE: This step is only necessary when installing a new component.

    Carry out the BCM to steering column lock module training procedure.

  4. NOTE: This step is only necessary when installing a new component.

    Carry out the BCM self-test. Clear the Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) and then retrieve the Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) from the BCM to confirm all Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) have been cleared.

  5. NOTE: This step is only necessary when installing a new component.

    Using a diagnostic scan tool, complete the PMI process for the ABS following the on-screen instructions.

  6. NOTE: This step is only necessary when installing a new component.

    Carry out the ABS to SASM training procedure.

  7. NOTE: This step is only necessary when installing a new component.

    Carry out the ABS self-test. Clear the Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) and then retrieve the Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) from the ABS to confirm all Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) have been cleared.
