Normal Operation and Fault Conditions

With the ignition ON, the CCM sends messages to the IPMA over a private CAN. The IPMA then sends these messages to the ABS module over the HS-CAN 2. If the ABS module does not receive these messages within a certain time frame, the ABS module sets a DTC. For information on the messages sent to the ABS module by the CCM, refer to the Network Message Chart in Description and Operation of the Anti-Lock Brake System (ABS) and Stability Control article.

PPT R ABS MODULE DTC FAULT TRIGGER CONDITIONS

DTC Description Fault Trigger Conditions
U0405:86 Invalid Data Received From Cruise Control Module: Signal Invalid This DTC sets if the CCM is requesting an external apply of the electric parking brake and the vehicle is not in static mode. This can be due to a CCM failure, a circuit failure on the HS-CAN or an excessive load on the network.
U2107:00 Collision Mitigation By Braking: No Sub Type Information This DTC sets when the collision deceleration message from the CCM is sent too often or the duration of the message is too long. This is most likely caused by a network communication concern or an internal failure of the CCM.
