- NOTE: The Inverter System Controller (ISC) is referred to as the SOBDMC (Secondary On-Board Diagnostic Control Module C) in the scan tool.
Normal Operation and Fault Conditions

DTC Fault Trigger Conditions
DTC Description Fault Trigger Condition SOBDMC P1635:00 Tire/Axle Out of Acceptable Range: No Sub Type Information This DTC sets if the VID block is not programmed or programmed incorrectly. Possible Sources
- BCM software
- Inverter System Controller (ISC) calibration
- CS1 VERIFY THE BCM (BODY CONTROL MODULE) CALIBRATION LEVEL
- Verify the BCM is at the latest calibration level.
Is the BCM at the latest calibration level?
Yes GO to CS2 No UPDATE the BCM to the latest calibration level. - CS2 RELOAD THE AS-BUILT DATA IN THE BCM (BODY CONTROL MODULE)
- Reload the as-built data in the BCM.
- Clear the Inverter System Controller (ISC) DTCs.
- Using a diagnostic scan tool, perform the Inverter System Controller (ISC) self-test.
Did DTC P1635 return?
Yes GO to CS3 No The system is operating correctly at this time. The DTC may have been set due to a software issue. - CS3 VERIFY THE INVERTER SYSTEM CONTROLLER (ISC) CALIBRATION LEVEL
- Verify the Inverter System Controller (ISC) is at the latest calibration level.
Is the Inverter System Controller (ISC) at the latest calibration level?
Yes The system is operating correctly at this time. The DTC may have been set due to high network traffic or an intermittent fault condition. CLEAR the DTCs and REPEAT the self-test. No UPDATE the Inverter System Controller (ISC) to the latest calibration level.
