Steering Angle Sensor Module (SASM): Removal

For information on Ford Color Coded Illustrations refer to OEM Color Coding

1. Remove the clockspring. Refer to: Clockspring .
2. On both sides.
   1. Remove the screws.
   2. Push in the tabs and remove the steering column multifunction switch.

3. Disconnect the SASM electrical connector and remove the 2 SASM upper screws.

   Torque: 27 lb.in (3 Nm)

4. Remove the 2 SASM lower screws, detach the wiring harness pin-type retainer and remove the SASM.

   Torque: 27 lb.in (3 Nm)
