Lane Keeping System - Overview: Overview

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2018 Ford F-550 Super Duty, 2018 Ford F-450 Super Duty, 2018 Ford F-350 Super Duty, and 2018 Ford F-250 Super Duty. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

The Lane Keeping System (LKS) utilizes the camera located in the IPMA (integral to the interior rear view mirror) to detect and track the road lane markings. When the system is on and active, the IPMA detects unintentional drifting toward the outside of the lane and alerts the driver through steering wheel vibrations and a visual alert in the IPC message center.
