GSM: DTC Chart

DTC  Description  Action 
P0562 System Voltage Low If Low Voltage DTCs are set in other modules, address those DTCs first. CLEAR the DTC. GO to Pinpoint Test A 
P0563 System Voltage High If High Voltage DTCs are set in other modules, address those DTCs first. CLEAR the DTC. GO to Pinpoint Test A 
P0605 Internal Control Module Nonvolatile Random Access Memory (NVRAM) Error If other DTCs are present, address those DTCs first. CLEAR the DTC. REPROGRAM the original GSM with the latest software. PERFORM the GSM self-test. If the DTC returns, INSTALL a new GSM. REFER to: Gear Shift Module (GSM) 
 
P0606 Control Module Processor If other DTCs are present, address those DTCs first. CLEAR the DTC. REPROGRAM the original GSM with the latest software. PERFORM the GSM self-test. If the DTC returns, INSTALL a new GSM. REFER to: Gear Shift Module (GSM) 
 
P0607 Control Module Performance If other DTCs are present, address those DTCs first. CLEAR the DTC. REPROGRAM the original GSM with the latest software. PERFORM the GSM self-test. If the DTC returns, INSTALL a new GSM. REFER to: Gear Shift Module (GSM) 
 
P06B8 Internal Control Module Read Only Memory (ROM) Error If other DTCs are present, address those DTCs first. CLEAR the DTC. REPROGRAM the original GSM with the latest software. PERFORM the GSM self-test. If the DTC returns, INSTALL a new GSM. REFER to: Gear Shift Module (GSM) 
 
P07EC Transmission Range Multi Function Select Circuit GO to Pinpoint Test J 
P07ED Transmission Range Multi Function Select Circuit Stuck GO to Pinpoint Test J 
P0814 Transmission Range Display Circuit If other DTCs are present, address those DTCs first. CLEAR the DTCs REPROGRAM the original GSM with the latest software. PERFORM the GSM self-test. If the DTC returns, GO to Pinpoint Test I 
P0915 Gear Shift Position Circuit "A" Range Performance If other DTCs are present, address those DTCs first. CLEAR the DTCs REPROGRAM the original GSM with the latest software. PERFORM the GSM self-test. If the DTC returns, GO to Pinpoint Test I 
P0919 Gear Shift Position Control Error CLEAR the DTC. If the DTC returns, move the rotary shifter know to P. PRESS and RELEASE the brake pedal. PRESS the brake pedal and move the rotary shifter know to D and turn ignition OFF, PERFORM the GSM self-test. If the DTC returns, GO to Pinpoint Test G 
P0929 Gear Shift Lock Solenoid/Actuator Circuit "A" Range Performance CLEAR the DTC. If the DTC returns, move the rotary shifter know to P. PRESS and RELEASE the brake pedal. PRESS the brake pedal and move the rotary shifter know to D and turn ignition OFF. PERFORM the GSM self-test. If the DTC returns, GO to Pinpoint Test G 
P164E Internal Control Module Transmission Range Select Performance Transmission may not shift from Park with a flashing P button. CLEAR the DTC. REPROGRAM the original GSM with the latest software. PERFORM the GSM self-test. If the DTC returns, INSTALL a new GSM.
P166B Drivers Door Status Correlation Open then close the drivers door and cycle the door locks. If the door ajar icon is illuminated on the IPC or the door lock and unlock is not working correctly, REFER to: Locks, Latches and Entry Systems . If the door ajar and locks are working correctly, GO to Pinpoint Test H 
P1753 Gear Shift Position Sensor Alignment If DTC P1753 is in "History", a customer can set this code by holding the Rotary Knob between gear positions for 30 seconds  . If DTC P1753 is set 'Continuous' continue with diagnostics. DTC set active when the gear shift is kept in the between ranges for an extended period of time. CLEAR the DTC. PERFORM the GSM self-test. If the DTC returns, GO to Pinpoint Test G 
U0100 Lost Communication with ECM/PCM If other DTCs are present, address those DTCs first. CLEAR the DTC. PERFORM a GWM network test. If DTCs return, GO to Pinpoint Test F 
U0121 Lost Communication with Anti Lock Brake System (ABS) Module GO to Pinpoint Test E 
U0140 Lost Communication with BCM If other DTCs are present, address those DTCs first. If DTC U0140 is present on other modules, address other reporting modules first. CLEAR the DTC. PERFORM a GWM network test. If DTCs return, GO to Pinpoint Test D 
U0155 Lost Communication with Instrument Panel Cluster (IPC) Module If other DTCs are present, address those DTCs first. If DTC U0155 is present on other modules, address other reporting modules first. CLEAR the DTC. PERFORM a GWM network test. If DTCs return, GO to Pinpoint Test C 
U0301 Software Incompatibility with ECM/PCM Transmission cannot exit Park. CLEAR the DTC. REPROGRAM the original PCM with the latest PCM software. PERFORM the PCM self-test. If the DTC returns, Refer to PCM GUIDED ROUTINE TESTING
U0401 Invalid Data Received from the ECM/PCM RETRIEVE and REPAIR all non-network DTCs in the PCM. REFER to: ELECTRONIC ENGINE CONTROLS .
U0422 Invalid Data Received from the BCM This DTC indicates the BCM is sending a fault state for one or more signals the GSM uses for function. Using the diagnostic scan tool, CLEAR all DTCs. PERFORM a BCM self-test. If BCMDTCs are present, REFER to: Body Control Module (BCM)
Follow the BCM repair procedures.
U1011 Invalid Internal Control Module Monitoring Data Received from PCM This DTC indicates the GSM is able to receive PCMCAN messages but the PCM is indicating a fault on one or more of the data signals the GSM uses for function. Using the diagnostic scan tool, retrieve PCMDTCs. REFER to PCMDTC chart and follow the PCM repair procedures. REFER to: ELECTRONIC ENGINE CONTROLS .
U101F Invalid Internal control Module Monitoring Data Received From the Tranmission Range Control Module This DTC indicates the GSM is able to receive PCMCAN messages but the PCM is indicating a fault on one or more of the data signals the GSM uses for function. Using the diagnostic scan tool, retrieve PCMDTCs. REFER to PCMDTC chart and follow the PCM repair procedures. REFER to: ELECTRONIC ENGINE CONTROLS .
