Selector Lever Cable: Installation
- Unlock the cable adjuster lock.
- Install the selector lever cable, attach the selector lever cable retainer to the bracket and connect the selector lever cable to the upper retainer.
- Pull the selector lever cable and the rubber grommet through the floor pan and route the cable toward the steering column.
- Make sure the grommet is correctly seated in the floor pan.
- Install the instrument panel lower center finish panel and the screw.

NOTE: Make sure the selector lever is in D.
Connect the selector lever cable to the steering column and the selector lever mechanism.
- Install the selector cable retainer bolt.
Torque: 62 lb.in (7 Nm)
- Install the steering column reinforcement panel and the bolts.
Torque: 80 lb.in (9 Nm)

Position the steering column opening trim panel and install the screws.
Torque: 80 lb.in (9 Nm)
- Connect the electrical connector(s).

Install the steering column opening trim panel.
- Install the steering column shrouds. Refer to: Steering Column Shrouds .
- Verify the selector lever is in D.
- Position the manual lever in D.
- Rotate the manual lever clockwise until it stops.
- Rotate the manual lever counterclockwise 3 detents.
- Connect the selector lever cable to the manual control lever.
- Lock the cable adjuster lock.
- Verify the vehicle starts in P and N only and that the reverse lamps illuminate in R.

NOTE: Anytime the parking brake switch electrical connector has been disconnected, the EPB system is deactivated and a DTC is stored in the EPB module. Perform the following step to restore the EPB system and clear the EPB module DTC.
Apply and release the parking brake twice within 5 seconds, pausing with the switch in the NEUTRAL position for approximately one-half second between each apply and release.
