  1. Normal Operation and Fault Conditions 

    REFER to: Engine - Overview .

    DTC Fault Trigger Conditions 

    DTC Description Fault Trigger Condition
    PCM P06E9:00 Engine Starter Performance: No Sub Type Information No engine rotation detected during crank event

    Possible Sources 

    • Battery
    • Battery Cables
    • IPC
    • Starter
    • BJB starter relay
    • Wiring, terminals or connectors

  2. O1 VERIFY THE ENGINE CRANKS

    • Place the ignition switch in the START position.

    Does the engine crank? 

    Yes  Refer to Engine Controls - Symptom Charts (Except Diesel & Hybrid) and FOLLOW Symptom Chart (3) for No Start (Engine Cranks)
    No  REFER to: Starting System - 2.3L EcoBoost (201kW/273PS) .
