Front Bumper: Disassembly

All vehicles 

1. Remove the front bumper. Refer to: Front Bumper .
2. If equipped. Remove the tow hook covers.

   Torque

   : 9 lb.in (1 Nm)

   Vehicles With: Active Air Dam 

3. LH side. Disconnect the AAD electrical connector, detach the retainer and position the wiring harness aside.

4. RH side. Release the locking tab and disconnect the AAD electrical connector. Detach the retainer and position the wiring harness aside.

5. On both sides. Remove the bolts and the AAD assembly.

   Torque

   : 18 lb.ft (25 Nm)

6. On both sides. Remove the bolts and the AAD actuator.

   Torque

   : 27 lb.in (3 Nm)

   All vehicles 

7. On both sides.
   1. If equipped. Disconnect the retainer and position the wiring harness aside.
   2. Remove the bolts and the front bumper outer bracket.

      Torque

      : 18 lb.ft (25 Nm)

8. On both sides. Remove the bolts and the molding assembly.

   Torque

   : 44 lb.in (5 Nm)

   Vehicles With: Front Fog Lamps 

9. On both sides. Disconnect the fog lamp electrical connector, detach the retainer and position the wiring harness aside.

10. On both sides. Remove the bolts and the fog lamp assembly.

    Torque

    : 44 lb.in (5 Nm)

    All vehicles 

11. If equipped, on both sides. Remove the bolts and the front bumper bracket outer arm.

    Torque

    : 18 lb.ft (25 Nm)

12. 1. On both sides. Remove the bolts and the front bumper bracket.

       Torque

       : 18 lb.ft (25 Nm)

    2. If equipped. Disconnect the CCM electrical connector.

    Vehicles With: Active Park Assist/Front Parking Aid 

13. NOTE: Make sure that the isolator rings are installed correctly while installing the sensors.
    1. Disconnect the front parking aid sensor and the front active park assist sensor electrical connectors.
    2. Release the tabs.
    3. Remove the front parking aid sensors and front active park assist sensors from the bracket.

14. NOTE: The number and location of wiring harness retainers will vary depending on option content.

    Separate the front bumper cover wiring harness retainers and remove the harness.

15. On both sides. Remove the push pins, release the clips and remove the front bumper side valence panel.

16. Release the clips, the tabs and remove the front bumper upper valence panel.

17. On both sides. Release the clips, the tab and remove the front bumper trim panel.

18. On both sides. Remove the nuts and detach the retainer.

    Torque

    : 27 lb.in (3 Nm)

19. 1. Remove the nuts, the push pins and release the tabs.

       Torque

       : 27 lb.in (3 Nm)

    2. Release the clips and position the protective shield aside.
    3. Detach the retainer and remove the front bumper lower valence panel.

20. Release the clips and remove the protective shield.

21. Release the clips and remove the front bumper grille assembly.
