Brake Shift Interlock Operation
The brake shift interlock inhibits the selector lever movement from the PARK position by electronically blocking the GSM. When the brake pedal is pressed (BPP switch closed) with the engine running and the transmission in PARK, the brake shift interlock is turned off, allowing the GSM to be moved out of the PARK position.
There is no brake shift interlock actuator override switch. A tool is provided to manually place the transmission in N. Refer to: Brake Shift Interlock Actuator Manual Override .
