Inspection and Verification
- Verify the customer concern.
- Visually inspect for obvious signs of mechanical or electrical damage.
- If an obvious cause for an observed or reported concern is found, correct the cause (if possible) before proceeding to the next step.
- Retrieve all diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs). If a DTC is present, refer to the appropriate DTC Chart.
- If the cause is not visually evident and there are no diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs), verify the symptom and refer to the Symptom Chart.
