Engine Mount RH: Installation

  1. Clean the engine mount-to-cylinder block and engine mount-to-frame mating surfaces of any dirt or foreign material prior to installation.

  2. Position the RH engine mount into the vehicle.

  3. Position the RH engine mount-to-cylinder block bracket and install the new bolts in the sequence shown below.

    Torque: 75 Nm

  4. NOTE: Only use hand tools when installing the engine mount studs or damage to the engine mount can occur.
    NOTE: Apply threadlock to the stud threads prior to installation.

    Install the RH engine mount studs.

    Material: Thread Locking Adhesive (WSK-M2G351-A6)

    Torque: 30 Nm

  5. NOTE: Only use hand tools when installing the RH engine mount nuts or damage to the engine mount can occur.

    Install the new RH engine mount nuts.

    Torque: 150 Nm

  6. Lower the engine to the installed position.

  7. NOTE: Only use hand tools when loosening or tightening the engine mount through bolts or damage to the engine mount-to-cylinder block bracket can occur.

    Install the new LH engine mount through bolt.

    Torque: 350 Nm

  8. NOTE: Only use hand tools when loosening or tightening the engine mount through bolts or damage to the engine mount-to-cylinder block bracket can occur.

    Install the new RH engine mount through bolt.

    Torque: 350 Nm

  9. Position back the A/C compressor and install the bolts.

    Torque: 25 Nm

  10. Connect the A/C compressor electrical connectors and wire retainer.

  11. Install the following items:

    1. Install the A/C compressor belt. Refer to: Air Conditioning (A/C) Compressor Belt .
    2. Install the starter motor. Refer to: Starter Motor .

  12. NOTE: Only use hand tools when loosening or tightening the transmission mount-to-crossmember nuts or damage to the transmission mount can occur.

    Remove and discard the transmission mount-to-crossmember nuts. Install new transmission mount-to-crossmember nuts.

    Torque: 115 Nm

  13. Install the new RH catalytic converter-to-turbocharger nuts.

    Torque: 40 Nm

  14. Install the new LH catalytic converter-to-turbocharger nuts.

    Torque: 40 Nm

  15. If equipped, install the front driveshaft. Refer to: Front Driveshaft .
  16. If equipped.

    • Install the underbody shield and the bolts.

      Torque: 40 Nm

    • Install the underbody shield and the bolts.

      Torque: 8 Nm

    • If equipped.Install the transmission housing cover and attach the retainer.

    • Install the bolts.

      Torque: 8 Nm

  17. If equipped.Remove the front skid plate.

    Torque: 40 Nm

  18. If equipped.Remove the engine skid plate.

    Torque: 40 Nm

  19. If equipped.Install the skid plate.

    Torque: 40 Nm

  20. Remove the special tools.Remove Special Service Tool: 303-F070 Support Bar, Engine., 303-1246 Engine Spreader Bar., 303-1654 Lift Eyes.

  21. Install the air deflector and pin-type retainers.

  22. Install the air cleaner inlet tube, pin-type retainers and bolt.

  23. On both sides.

    1. Install the hood hinge bolts.

      Torque: 30 Nm

    2. Install the fender to hood hinge bolts.

      Torque: 9 Nm

  24. Install the struts.

  25. NOTE: Align the index marks made during hood removal.

    Install the hood and the nuts.

    Torque: 22.5 Nm

  26. Install the cowl panel. Refer to: Cowl Panel .
  27. Install the right rear ignition coil. Refer to: Ignition Coil-On-Plug .
  28. Install the intake manifold. Refer to: Intake Manifold .
    • Install the CAC support and nuts.

      Torque: 6 Nm

    • Install the washer and nut.

      Torque: 8 Nm

    • Position the A/C bracket to the CAC support and install the bolt.

      Torque: 5 Nm

  29. Install the CAC outlet pipe. Refer to: Charge Air Cooler (CAC) Outlet Pipe .
  30. Install the CAC intake pipe. Refer to: Charge Air Cooler (CAC) Intake Pipe .
  31. Start and check the exhaust system for leaks.
