Airflow Meter

  1. Turn ignition off. Disconnect the airflow meter connector. Using a DVOM, measure resistance between the appropriate airflow meter terminals. See Fig 1. For resistance specifications, refer to the AIRFLOW METER RESISTANCE  table.

  2. Using a DVOM, measure resistance between airflow meter terminals while moving airflow measuring plate inside airflow meter. For specifications, see AIRFLOW METER MEASURING PLATE RESISTANCE  table. See Fig 1.

FC & E1 Infinity Fully Closed
FC & E1 Zero Other Than Closed
VS & E2 200-600 Fully Closed
VS & E2 (1) 20-1000 Fully Open
(1) Resistance will change in a wave pattern as measuring plate is opened.
