Indicator Light Check
- Turn ignition ON. Ensure CRUISE MAIN indicator light on instrument cluster comes on when cruise control main switch is turned on. Ensure indicator light goes off when main switch is turned OFF.
- If indicator light operates as indicated, go to diagnostic code output. If indicator light does not operate as indicated, unplug connector "B" from instrument cluster. See Figure.
- Ground terminal No. 16 and turn ignition On. If CRUISE MAIN indicator light comes on, inspect wiring harness between terminal No. 16 and cruise control ECU. Also check ECU for proper operation.
- If CRUISE MAIN indicator light did not come on, check for burned out bulb. Replace bulb if necessary and repeat INDICATOR LIGHT CHECK. If bulb is okay, replace instrument cluster circuit plate (printed circuit). Repeat INDICATOR LIGHT CHECK.
