Cruise Control (MAIN) Switch Check

  1. Remove steering wheel pad. See appropriate AIR BAG RESTRAINT SYSTEM article. Disconnect cruise control switch 5-pin connector. Use an ohmmeter to check continuity between terminals No. 3 and 5. See Figure.
  2. With MAIN switch off, no continuity should exist. With MAIN switch on, continuity should exist. If continuity is correct, go to WIRING HARNESS. If continuity is incorrect, replace cruise control switch.
