Problem Symptom Confirmation/Symptom Simulation

Road test vehicle to confirm problem symptoms. If the problem does not reoccur, simulate the problem by shaking, wiggling or applying vibrations to the affected wiring harness or components.
Shake connectors vertically and horizontally. Wiggle wiring harness vertically and horizontally, especially in areas where harness passes through body grommets.
Apply a slight vibration to components considered to be possible causes of the problem and check if malfunction occurs. DO NOT vigorously shake relay, or open circuit in relays could result.
