Diagnostic Chart

  1. Check operation of shift indicator light. Check that N, P lights up on the shift indicator light when shifting into N, P, and that N, P is off when shifting into another gear. If operation is not as specified, check shift indicator light circuit. If operation is okay, go to next step.
  2. Perform sensor check. See ANTI-LOCK BRAKE SYSTEM article. If sensor is okay, check ABS & TRAC ECU. If sensor is not okay, go to next step.
  3. Check harness and connector between ABS & TRAC ECU and IL3 connector. Repair or replace any faulty connectors or harnesses. If connectors are okay, check and replace ABS & TRAC ECU.
