Throttle Position Sensor (TPS)

Turn ignition off. Disconnect TPS connector. Using a DVOM, measure resistance between specified TPS terminals in appropriate TPS SPECIFICATIONS table below. See Fig 1.

IDL & E2 (1) .012" (.30 mm) 2300 or Less
IDL & E2 (1) .028" (.71 mm) .Infinity
VTA & E2 Throttle Valve Fully Open 3500-10,300

(1) Clearance between throttle lever and stop screw.
LS400 TPS SPECIFICATIONS

IDL & E2 (1) .016" (.41 mm) 2300 or Less
IDL & E2 (1) .034" (.86 mm) Infinity
VTA & E2 Throttle Valve Fully Open 3300-10,000
