PCV Valve

  1. Remove PCV valve from cylinder head cover. Attach a clean hose to cylinder head side of PCV valve. Blow into attached hose. Air should pass freely through PCV valve.
  2. Reverse PCV valve, and place clean hose over intake manifold side of PCV valve. Blow air into attached hose. Air should not pass easily through PCV valve. If either condition is not met, replace PCV valve.
  3. Inspect all PCV hoses, connections and gaskets for leaks and damage. Repair or replace as necessary.
