Transmission & Transaxle

  1. Check transmission fluid with engine and transmission at 158-176°F (70-80°C). Use cool section of dipstick for a rough estimate when fluid is replaced or engine does not run. Park vehicle on a level surface and set parking brake.
  2. With engine idling and park brake depressed, move shift lever from "P" to "L" position and return to "P" position. Remove dipstick and clean it. Push it back fully into tube. Pull it out and ensure fluid level is in HOT range. Fill as necessary.
