EVAP Vacuum Control Valve

  1. Mark Vacuum Control Valve (VCV) vacuum lines for reassembly. Remove VCV from vehicle. VCV is located in-line between BVSV and EVAP canister. Using a vacuum pump, apply 2.76 in. Hg to top vacuum port of VCV. Blow into one of 2 lower vacuum ports. Air should pass freely between lower vacuum ports.
  2. Release vacuum from top vacuum port of VCV. Blow into one of 2 lower vacuum ports. Air should not pass between lower vacuum ports. If results are not as specified, replace VCV.
