SET/COAST Position

When cruise control switch is turned to the SET position, with MAIN cruise control switch turned on and vehicle speed above 25 MPH (40 Km/h), cruise control ECU stores vehicle speed and controls that speed constantly.

When the cruise control switch is turned to the COAST position while in cruise control mode, actuator motor is energized to close engine throttle valve. Vehicle decelerates until switch is released. From then on, cruise control ECU stores new vehicle speed and controls that speed constantly.
