Cruise Control Switch Input Signal Check
- Perform INPUT SIGNAL CHECK under TROUBLE SHOOTING. Check cruise control indicator light with SET/COAST, RES/ACC, and CANCEL switch turned on (moving switch to appropriate positions).
- On ES300, SC300 and SC400, indicator light should go off when CANCEL switch is on. On LS400, a one-pulse signal should be generated when CANCEL switch is on. On all models, a 2-pulse signal should be generated when SET/COAST switch is on, and a 3-pulse signal should be generated when RES/ACC switch is on.
- Signal should disappear when appropriate switch is turned off. If pulse signals operate as indicated, go to next inspection item shown on matrix chart. See Figure, Figure or Figure . If pulse signals do not operate as indicated, go to VOLTAGE CHECK.
