Throttle Position Sensor Check

  1. On LS400, remove intake air duct. On all models, disconnect throttle position sensor. Measure continuity between throttle position sensor terminals No. 1 and 2. See Fig 1.
  2. Continuity should be infinite (open circuit), with throttle valve fully opened. Continuity should be present (less than 2 ohms), with throttle valve fully closed. If continuity is correct, go to WIRING HARNESS CHECK below. If continuity is not correct, replace throttle position sensor.
