Description & Operation
A permanent magnet motor operates each of the power windows. The driver's master switch assembly controls all of the power window motors. Each window switch controls only one of the power window motors. If the WINDOW LOCK switch is in OFF position, only driver's window may be operated. passenger's windows cannot be controlled by individual switches, but can still be controlled from driver's master switch.
Pressing the switch slightly will permit window to stop in any desired position by releasing the switch. ONE TOUCH mode permits driver's window to be fully lowered without holding switch until window has reached the end of its travel. Pressing the switch fully down will engage ONE TOUCH mode. ONE TOUCH mode is controlled by the driver's window motor assembly.
Power windows may be operated for about 1 minute after ignition switch is turned off. Time delay function is operative as long as neither front door has been opened.
Power window control unit is integrated in power window master control switch. Control unit is not serviced separately.
