  2. Using a DVOM, connect positive lead to terminal No. 6 and negative lead to terminal No. 9. Apply 12 volts to terminal No. 2 and ground terminal No. 3. See Fig 1. Observe voltmeter reading. Reverse 12-volt leads and again observe voltmeter reading.
  3. Voltage reading should be 0-0.9 volt with mirror at uppermost mirror position and 2.8-5.0 volts at lowermost position. Voltage reading should change gradually and smoothly as mirror moves.
  4. Connect positive lead of DVOM to terminal No. 4 and negative lead to terminal No. 9. Apply 12 volts to terminal No. 1 and ground terminal No. 2. Observe voltmeter reading. Reverse 12-volt leads and again observe voltmeter reading.
  5. On left mirror, voltage reading should be 2.8-5.0 volts with mirror at leftmost position and should drop to 0-0.9 volt at rightmost position. On right mirror, voltage reading should be 0-0.9 volt with mirror at leftmost position and should climb to 2.8-5.0 volts at rightmost position. If either mirror does not operate as specified, replace power mirror assembly.
