Door Lock & Unlock Switch Circuit Test (Lock Side)
- Door lock and unlock switch is built into door key cylinder. When key is turned to lock or unlock position, lock terminal of switch is grounded. When switch is not grounded, battery voltage is applied to switch circuit of remote door lock ECU.
- Gain access to remote door lock ECU. Turn ignition on. Using a DVOM, measure voltage between ground and ECU terminal No. 5. See Figure. Voltage should be 8-10 volts.
- If voltage is as specified, circuit is okay. If voltage is not as specified, check and repair wiring circuit(s) between remote door lock ECU and door key lock and unlock switch as necessary.
