Description & Operation

Keyless entry system locks or unlocks doors from a distance of about 3 feet using ignition key. A transmitter contained in ignition key sends a weak radio wave to a receiver via the rear defogger wiring circuit. Rear defogger sends a signal to the anti-theft deterrent ECU.

Remote door lock main switch, located on dash, must be in ON position for system to operate. If any door is open or if key is in the ignition, keyless entry system will not operate.
