Abs Control Relay Test

Disconnect ABS control relay connectors. Check for continuity (or resistance) between specified terminals. See appropriate ABS CONTROL RELAY TEST table. See Fig 1. If continuity or resistance is not as specified, replace control relay.

ABS CONTROL RELAY TEST (SOLENOID RELAY)

Terminals (1) Specification
A1 & B3 80 Ohms
A5 & A6 Continuity
A2 & A5 No Continuity
A5 (+) & A4 (-) (2) Apply 12 Volts Between A1 & B3
A5 & A6 No Continuity
A2 & A5 Continuity
(1) See Fig 1.
(2) Continuity in one direction (polarity), but not in both directions (circuit contains a diode).
ABS CONTROL RELAY TEST (PUMP MOTOR RELAY)

Terminals (1) Specification
B3 & B4 62 Ohms
B1 & B2 No Continuity Apply 12 Volts Between B3 & B4
B1 & B2 Continuity
