Window Motor & Regulator Assembly

CAUTION: To keep from scratching door trim components, put tape on tip of screwdriver before prying components from door.
NOTE: To service motor and regulator separately, remove assembly. It may not be necessary to remove all components listed (manufacturer's procedure is for disassembly of entire door).
  1. Disconnect negative battery cable. Remove bezel from inner door handle by prying it out. Remove upper bracket garnish (triangle-shaped trim piece near mirror). Remove cover and screw from inside of hand-grip hole on armrest. Remove screw cover and screw from upper front corner of door panel.
  2. Remove 2 retainers that secure door trim panel to door jamb. Pry door trim panel away from door to release retainer clips. Pull door trim panel upward to disengage it from door, then disconnect electrical connectors.
  3. Remove side ventilator duct, door pocket and speaker grille. Remove armrest base panel and courtesy light. Remove speaker. Remove door belt moulding from top edge of door (secured by one screw and 6 clips). Carefully remove door weatherstrip (do not pull hard; use a clip remover to disengage clips).
  4. Remove small speaker and outside rear view mirror. Remove inside door handle assembly (remove 3 screws and disengage 2 links). Remove window opening plate. Carefully pull service hole cover away from door. Remove steel cover plate. Disconnect and remove lock link rods. Remove 2 door glass stoppers.
  5. Remove 3 bolts, then carefully pull glass out of door. Unplug window motor connector. Remove one bolt and 8 nuts securing window motor and regulator assembly, then remove assembly. To install, reverse removal procedure.
  6. Disconnect negative battery cable. Remove bezel from inner door handle by prying it out. At armrest, remove cover and screw from inside of hand-grip hole. Remove 3 retainers that secure door trim panel to door jamb.
  7. Pry door trim panel away from door to release retainer clips. Pull door trim panel upward to disengage it from door, then disconnect electrical connectors. Remove 3 screws and armrest base panel.
  8. Remove door belt moulding from top edge of door (secured by one screw and 5 clips). Carefully remove door weatherstrip (do not pull hard; use a clip remover to disengage clips). Remove moulding from outside surface of door, at bottom. Remove inside door handle assembly (remove 3 screws and disengage 2 links). Carefully pull service hole cover away from door.
  9. Remove 2 door glass upper stops and supports. Remove 2 bolts, then carefully pull glass out of door. Unplug window motor connector. Remove one bolt and 8 nuts securing window motor and regulator assembly, then remove assembly. To install, reverse removal procedure.
