Abs Warning Light Circuit
- If light stays on all the time, go to step 3). If light does not come on at all, check GAUGE fuse, bulb, instrument cluster and wiring. If components are okay, check ABS solenoid relay. See ABS CONTROL RELAY TEST under COMPONENT TESTING. If ABS solenoid relay is okay, repair wiring between DLC No. 1 and ABS solenoid relay, or between ABS solenoid relay and ground.
- Retrieve codes. See RETRIEVING CODES under DIAGNOSIS & TESTING. If code(s) are stored, repair appropriate circuit. If no codes are stored, remove short pin from DLC No. 1. See Figure. If light stays on, repair circuit between ABS warning light, DLC No. 1 and ABS ECU.
- If light goes out, check ABS solenoid relay. See ABS CONTROL RELAY TEST under COMPONENT TESTING. If ABS solenoid relay is okay, check for short in wiring between DLC No. 1 and ABS solenoid relay.
