Throttle Body: Removal

  1. Disconnect negative battery cable. Drain cooling system. Remove battery clamp cover. Remove air cleaner cover, hose and air cleaner assembly. Remove throttle body cover.
  2. Disconnect throttle cable(s) from throttle linkage. Remove high tension wire upper cover. Disconnect vacuum hoses and electrical connectors as necessary. Disconnect coolant by-pass hoses from Idle Air Control (IAC) valve and throttle body. Disconnect PCV hose from throttle body. Remove nuts, bolts, throttle body and gasket.
