Display Does Not Change During Driving
- If speedometer does not operate, go to SPEEDOMETER SYSTEM TEST under SYSTEM TESTING. If speedometer operates, disconnect connector "A" from back of instrument cluster. See Figure. At harness side of connector "A", connect a jumper wire to terminal No. 1. See Figure.
- At instrument cluster side of connector "A", connect other end of same jumper wire to corresponding terminal No. 1. In the same manner, connect 3 other jumper wires between terminals No. 13, 15 and 23. This simulates an attached connector, but with only 4 wires connected.
- Raise and support vehicle with rear wheels off of ground. Turn ignition on. Connect voltmeter between terminals No. 13 and 15. Rotate drive shaft. Voltage should alternate between zero and 11 or more volts for each revolution of drive shaft. If voltage is as specified, replace odometer and trip meter. If voltage is not as specified, replace circuit plate. See Figure.
