Bleeding Clutch System

NOTE: If any work was done on clutch hydraulic system or if air is suspected in hydraulic lines, bleed air from system.
  1. Fill clutch reservoir with brake fluid. While bleeding, check fluid frequently and add fluid as necessary. Connect vinyl tube to bleeder plug and insert into half-filled container of brake fluid. Slowly pump clutch pedal several times.
  2. With pedal depressed, loosen bleeder plug until fluid starts to flow out, then close bleeder plug. Repeat procedure until no more air bubbles come from tube.
CAUTION: DO NOT allow brake fluid to remain on painted surface. If fluid splashes onto painted surfaces, wash off immediately.
