Bleeding Clutch System
NOTE:
If any work was done on clutch hydraulic system or if air is suspected in hydraulic lines, bleed air from system.
- Fill clutch reservoir with brake fluid. While bleeding, check fluid frequently and add fluid as necessary. Connect vinyl tube to bleeder plug and insert into half-filled container of brake fluid. Slowly pump clutch pedal several times.
- With pedal depressed, loosen bleeder plug until fluid starts to flow out, then close bleeder plug. Repeat procedure until no more air bubbles come from tube.
CAUTION:
DO NOT allow brake fluid to remain on painted surface. If fluid splashes onto painted surfaces, wash off immediately.
